By 2023 it is reckoned to be worth around $900bn, making it an interesting area that investors shouldn’t forget.

This multinational corporation, founded and headquartered in Herzogenaurach, Germany, designs and manufactures shoes, clothing and accessories. It is the largest sportswear manufacturer in Europe, and the second largest in the world, after Nike. In 2019, Adidas Group’s net sales amounted to about 23.64 billion euros.

Nike is an American multinational corporation that is the world’s largest supplier of athletic shoes and apparel and a major manufacturer of sports equipment, with revenue in excess of US$39.12 billion in its fiscal year 2019. As of 2018, Nike was the most valuable global apparel brand, with a brand value of 28 billion U.S. dollars.

Hermes is a French high fashion luxury goods manufacturer established in 1837. It specializes in leather, lifestyle accessories, home furnishings, perfumery, jewellery, watches and ready-to-wear. In 2019, the Hermès brand was valued at approximately 17.92 billion U.S. dollars. In comparison, the brand’s valuation was 4.8 billion U.S. dollars in 2010.

LVMH Moët Hennessy or better known as Louis Vuitton SE, is a French multinational corporation and conglomerate specializing in luxury goods, headquartered in Paris, France. LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, the world’s leading luxury products group, recorded revenue of €53.7 billion in 2019, up 15%. Organic revenue growth was 10%.

burberry

Burberry Group PLC is a British luxury fashion house headquartered in London, England. Its main fashion house focuses on and distributes trench coats (for which it is most famous), ready-to-wear outerwear, fashion accessories, fragrances, sunglasses, and cosmetics. In 2019, the Burberry brand was valued at approximately 5.2 billion U.S. dollars and made worldwide revenue of approximately 2.72 billion GBP in the same year.
